We have worked with Steel-Saints on a number of high-profile projects, including St Mary’s Church and Tanworth in Arden. This fitting combines advanced manufacturing techniques to deliver a complex design executed in steel and oak.

Geoff organised all the necessary fabrication and was able to interact with our CAD drawings, which made the development of the design and its execution a seamless process. Steel-Saints also helped develop the pneumatic base. They fabricated this, including the air pistons, which allow the font to be raised and lowered, enabling it to be positioned where necessary. 

The project has won two regional RIBA awards and has been shortlisted for the President’s Awards, EASA and the McEwan Award.

“Geoff did an amazing job of converting our loose ideas into a unique light fitting which he made himself, supported by an electrician, and then fitted. The light is better than we originally imagined. The light is one of the features of the house and all this was down to Geoff’s attention to detail and ability to turn ideas into reality. The mezzanine balustrade is equally well designed. Here, Geoff worked with our architect and structural engineer to ensure it was to the specification required.
